Founded in 1981, the region's professional ballet company produces twice annual seasons, often with international guest artists. Zig Zag Ballet, its contemporary offshoot, is the resident dance company of Stamford Center for the Arts. Connecticut Ballet Center , its affiliated school, offers a training program in ballet, jazz, West African, African percussion and more for children three and up. CBC offers a wide range of adult dance classes throughout the year.
