Audubon Greenwich's mission is to further the protection of birds and other wildlife and their habitats through science, education, advocacy, and conservation, for the benefit of humanity and the earth's biological diversity.

Description:
Audubon Greenwich is comprised of 7 nature sanctuary properties in the Town of Greenwich, CT. Our main center is the 285-acre Audubon Center in Greenwich on Riversville Road where we have our building facilities including exhibits, gift shop, art gallery, children's learning center, classrooms and offices. We sponsor nature programs for all ages year-round including bird walks, nature hikes, environmental lectures, summer camp for children, school field trips, birthday parties, and spring and fall special events.

History:
Audubon Greenwich began in 1942 and was the first Nature Center for the National Audubon Society. Since that time, we have acquired various open spaces in town and currently manage 7 nature sanctuaries totaling 648 acres. We are part of the National Audubon Society's nationwide network of centers and sanctuaries. We have a small staff of 9 in Greenwich, CT and could not do all that we do without the hundreds of volunteers who help in so many ways.
