The Stamford YMCA is looking for volunteer counselors to work with kids in grades K-5th - LEAD Academy after school program.The Stamford YMCA also has a LEAD after school program for middle and high school students in grades 5th - 12th. You must have at least 2 years of college and experience working with children. The after school programs start in September and end in June. If you are interested, please stop by the YMCA and pick up a volunteer application and indicate on the application LEAD Academy (K-5th grade) or LEAD (5th - 12 grade). Please call Ms. Lisa James (LEAD Academy) @ 357-7000 x119 or contact Veronica White (LEAD - Middle School Coordinator)- 357-7000 x130 & John Watts (LEAD - High School Coordinator 357-7000 x131. Tutors needed to work with students in math, language arts and reading.
