Paws Patrol is a nonprofit, 501(c)3 organization that promotes the spay and neuter of animals in need. Our mission as a community oriented program is to: Reduce feral cat overpopulation through Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR); Educate the public on the importance of spay/neuter for companion animals; Rescue, foster, and re-home adoptable pets.
Description:
Paws Patrol began in April 2006 and promotes the spay and neuter of animals in need in the Green Valley/Sahuarita, Arizona region. We rely on volunteers to help locate and trap feral cats, transport them to local vets to be spayed/neutered, and return them to their colony. Orphaned kittens and puppies can be placed in volunteer foster homes until they are ready for adoption. As of July 2008, we have trapped/taken in over 400 cats and kittens and helped place 12 dogs. Many of the cats and kittens we have trapped are adoptable so our need for foster care is great. We work closely with other local rescue organizations and strive to educate the public on the importance of spay/neuter for their pets through articles and special events. In addition, we have started a Barn Cat Program and a Senior Adoption Program.
