The Mission of the Pima County Health Department is to promote and protect the health of the people of
Pima County Arizona through:
Prevention, intervention and control of infectious and chronic diseases; Assessment of community health; and
Management of catastrophic emergencies and other threats to the well-being of the public.

Pima County Health Department provides the following services to the community:
Pima Animal Care Center,Community Health and Dietetic Services,Consumer Health and Food Safety,Epidemiology,
Family Planning,HIV/AIDS,Immunization, Mobile Clinics, Emergency Management, Bio-Terrorism Preparedness, Public Health Nursing, Sexually Transmitted Disease Control, Tobacco Education and Prevention Services, Tuberculosis Control and Vital Records.
