Equine Voices Rescue & Sanctuary is dedicated to rescuing premarin Mares and foals from slaughter. We strive to return these majestic creatures to good health and thus adopt them out to pre-approved, loving forever homes.
Description:
Equine Voices Rescue & Sanctuary was founded by Karen Pomroy in August 2004 after she completed four years of service at Return to Freedom in California. It was during this time that she learned of the plight of premarin Mares and foals and it changed her life forever. She subsequently moved to Arizona and created Equine Voices, a safe haven for these horses where they can rest, recuperate and regenerate their trust in mankind. Equine Voices is a 501(c)3 Non-Profit organization and relies solely upon grants and donations to continue this work until slaughter is totally abolished. There are many volunteer opportunities available at the ranch and also in fund-raising or tabling events. We offer our volunteers a warm family type environment and respect all their hard work on behalf of the horses.

Take I-19 South past Green Valley and get off on Exit 56 (Canoa Rd.) Turn left and then right on the East Frontage Rd. You will be heading South again for about 3 miles. Turn left on Elephant Head Rd. and follow it for another 3 miles. It twists and turns and changes its name to Canoa Rd. but just ignore that. Turn right on Dove Way and follow it for approximately 1 mile. Where the pavement ends on your left is a big metal gate with the words Jumpin Jack Ranch across the top. Enter the gate code and proceed at 5 mph onto the property. Watch out for dogs and horses that may be roaming and follow signs to appropriate parking. To receive the gate code you must fill out a volunteer application at our website; www.equinevoices.org and receive a reply before coming to the ranch.
