Feeding Program Co-ordinator for Twice Weekly Program
Last updated on July 18, 2008

The Giving Tree Outreach Program holds a twice weekly feeding program called Project FEED (Feed Everyone Every Day.) This event takes place on an empty lot, Thurs and Sun, on 22nd St. between Swan and Columbus. The lot between Family Dollar and Palm Court Inn transforms to provide hot meals, rain or shine, to approximately 200 people each night. We need a Feeding Program Co-ordinator to take charge of contacting our volunteers that regularly fix food and the clubs or groups that occasionally provide food.

The Giving Tree Project Feed has operated from the same location for the past 18 years and therefore, the community in need has come to know us and depend upon us for food, clothing and referrals to community services. Due to our growth, we are looking for a Feeding Program Co-ordinator to help make this operation run efficiently and dependably.

The Feeding Program Co-ordinator is not expected to do all the functions independently that are necessary to operate Project FEED, but to develop a team to which assignments are delegated and will report to the Co-ordinator.

This is a very fun thing to do!!!!!!!
I am 9 years old. My family and I volunteer with the Giving Tree Feeding Program and we think it is very fun! We have met some very nice volunteers, and best of all, we have met some very nice homeless people, too! I love going there on Thursdays and Sundays!

I have gained a greater understanding of the needy.
Volunteering has made me gain a deeper appreciation for food, clothing, my bed, and everything else that I own. I would suggest everyone to volunteer their time to help the people in need. This program is well organized!

It was very rewarding
I volunteered with my sorority, Chi Omega. I gained the realization of what life is really like for some people. I also learned about different organizations within the Tucson community that work to help many people get back into a good state of life.
