Our mission statement is: Preserving the Past for the Future.
Description:
Chestnut Square is a Historical Park located in downtown McKinney. We have seven homes dating from the late 1800's to 1900's which we preserve and maintain as a way to show people how the early settlers of McKinney lived. We also have a wonderful way to teach children the history of these historic homes and ways of life.
History:
Chestnut Square was started 25 years ago by a few women of McKinney with a long term vision. They purchased two homes, which was the start of Chestnut Square Historical Park. We have grown from two buildings to a total of seven. What a wonderful vision these few ladies had and have given to the City of McKinney.
