Community Lifeline Center of McKinney has an immediate need for volunteers to translate for Spanish speaking clients. Community Lifeline Center provides information and referral to social services, emergency financial assistance (rent,utilities,prescriptions), and other community programs such as Back to School Supply Drive, Thanksgiving Food Baskets, and Angel Tree Gift Program to Northern Collin County. For 19 years Community Lifeline Center, with the help of our community partners, has served families in need. Volunteer receptionists need to be bilingual (Spanish/English), have good customer service and listening skills, an empathetic and non-judgmental attitude, and a pleasant phone voice. Volunteers will greet clients and assist them with filling out necessary paperwork. Duties include answering telephone, assisting clients, filing, faxing, and data entry. General computer knowledge needed - specifically Word and Excel. Confidentiality is a major requirement. Volunteers will need to have a screening interview and complete initial training.
