About the HELP!Line Center of Sioux Falls, South Dakota
For over 30 years, the mission of the HELP!Line Center has been strengthening individuals, families and community by bridging people with resources and support. This is done through the 211 HELP!Line, a 24-hour crisis/information line, the Child Care HELP!Line which connects parents with child care, and the Volunteer HELP!Line that connects the community with volunteer opportunities.
Volunteer HELP!Line
The Volunteer HELP!Line works as a link between individuals, groups and corporations to volunteer opportunities at non-profit organizations.
Individuals:
If you want to volunteer...
- Currently there is a wide variety of non-profit organizations in our database that are looking for volunteers. Search by keyword, zip code or specific skills and interests to find the right opportunity. To speak to a HELP!Line representative to assist you in finding a volunteer opportunity, dial 211 24 hours a day.
Corporations:
If you want your company to get involved. . .
- The Volunteer HELP!Line provides the resources and technical support to develop and run a successful corporate volunteer program.
- A calendar of one-time volunteer opportunities is compiled by the Volunteer HELP!Line for use in planning corporate employee involvement.
Non-Profit Organizations:
If your non-profit organization needs support. . .
- The Volunteer HELP!Line will help you recruit volunteers. We promote your opportunities to over 500 businesses, schools, the media and on the internet.
- Technical assistance is provided by the Volunteer HELP!Line through volunteer management training, plus one-site, individualized consultations for non-profit managers.
