The volunteer will be serving the organization by assisting with classroom activities for the Youth Link Program. While serving with the Youth Link Program, the volunteer's primary duties may include but are not limited to:

 Tutoring.
 Assist with classroom activities or field trips.
 With the guidance of the Youth Link teacher, plan and carry out activities for participants.
 Build positive rapport with participants by holding conversations and showing interest in youth activities.
 Provide effective role modeling for participants to encourage education and healthy lifestyles.
 Maintain confidentiality.
 Enforce program rules and guidelines consistently.
 If an incident not consistent with agency policy occurs, fill out an incident report and turn it in to the supervisor on the day of the incident.
 Represent Volunteers of America, Dakotas in a positive manner during all dealings with the public.

Date/Time Commitment: Youth Link serves students Monday-Friday, from 3:00pm to 6:00pm.
Experience/Skills: Must be at least 18 years old and pass a child abuse and neglect screening. Have a desire to be involved in the education of our community's youth.

 West 51st Street is just north of I-229. Turn west off of Minnesota Avenue, just south of 41st Street onto Grange Avenue. Take Grange to west 51st and turn left onto 51st. The Bollinger Center will be the first left on 51st street.
