 School groups are coming!! As everyone knows the Zoo is a great place to take a school field trip and our community is fortunate enough to have a fantastic zoo right here in Sioux Falls. We are looking for volunteers to come help us fill some unique positions. We are looking for volunteers to be School Group Greeters (sounds exciting doesn't it) and General Greeters.
School Group Greeters will board each bus when a school group arrives, welcome them to the zoo, energize the kids for a fun visit and make sure everyone understands the rules to keep them and the animals safe and happy. This is a seasonal opportunity. April 1st - August 29th.
General Greeter will be someone who floats between the lobby and gift shop. Responsible for talking to guests as they are waiting in line, answering questions and directing them where they want to go. Assisting gift shop staff bag purchases, keeping things clean, restocking shelves, etc. This is a year round opportunity
The volunteer positions listed above require the ability to get on a bus, have public speaking skills and the ability to stand/walk for 2 hours at a time. This opportunity is sponsored by: Great Plains Zoo & Delbridge Museum
