Description:
Wesley Enhanced Living is a not-for-profit organization founded in and committed to the tenets of the United Methodist Church to serve the aging population. With its rich heritage, Evangelical Manor is one of Northeast Philadelphia's most desirable retirement options. Nestled on 12 meticulously landscaped acres within Pennypack Woods, the Manor offers the entire spectrum of services - from independent living and assisted living in private apartments to skilled nursing care in a dedicated facility.

History:
The cornerstone for Wesley Enhanced Living was established in 1888 when The Evangelical Association of Churches founded the German Home for the Aged in Philadelphia. Over the years, various religious organizations founded Evangelical Manor, Pilgrim Gardens, Maple Village, and Heritage Towers. In 1975, the Evangelical Manor Foundation (now known as the Wesley Enhanced Living Foundation or WEL Foundation) was created as an independent organization to accept, invest, and distribute financial gifts for these communities.
