The Friends of the Township Library of Lower Southampton is a nonprofit volunteer organization whose purpose is to foster a positive relationship between the library and the community.
Description:
The Friends group is composed of members who actively promote library services and resources and share energy, knowledge, and expertise to support activities that help the Library staff and enhance Library facilities. Through many fun fundraising projects and events, the Friends provide resources and programs that are not covered in the Library's budget. Who are Friends?: Residents, Parents, Students Businessmen and women Library staff Creative people who love their library What Do Friends Do?: •Maintain an association of people interested in supporting the Library •Heighten public awareness of the Library's resources, services and needs •Enrich the Library's resources through funds derived from memberships and special projects •Enable the Library to enhance services, expand programs and add new dimensions that •Maximize the Library's role and usefulness in the community •Develop support among legislators and other elected officials to enable the Library to •Better serve the community.
