The YWCA of Bucks County provides educational and social services to children, women and families in Bucks County building beautiful tomorrows through Youth Services, enhancing skills and opportunities for families through YWCA Family Centers, and improving lives and building hope through Self-Sufficiency Programming. Our Mission is to work for elimination of racism, empowerment of women, and for peace, justice, freedom and dignity for all people.
Description:
The YWCA of Bucks County has established Family Centers in various locations throughout Bucks County, and delivers programs in schools, community rooms and other locations to serve children, women and families close to where they live. Our Youth Services include: Pre-Kindergartens, Homework Zones, Summer Camps and YW-Teen Programs. YWCA Family Centers provide Literacy and Citizenship classes, Computer Training, Parenting Classes, and other Social Services. Senior Shared Housing, Employment Services, Financial Literacy Programs and our Professional Clothes Closet help adults achieve Self-Sufficiency.
History:
The YWCA is the oldest and largest autonomous women's movement in the world. Since 1954, the YWCA of Bucks County has been providing services to help community residents build better lives for themselves and their families.
