Mid County Senior Services provides innovative programs, services and opportunities that promote positive aging in our community.

Description:
MCSS Chore Connection programs provide information and referral, connection to community resources and chore services. The Chore Connection program depends on community volunteers who help our older neighbors (60+)live safely at home. Volunteer drivers escort clients to places such as their medical appointments, pharmacies, grocery shopping, to the bank and other essential errands. Volunteers provide one-time, intermittent or on-going assistance for home maintenance, housing issues, friendly visiting and home support.

MCSS Senior Community Centers, provide learning,
health and wellness, access to community programs and resources, socialization and civic engagement (volunteer) opportunities for active independent older adults. Our Centers foster "Positive Aging" through our many on-going classes and workshops offered each day. A few examples would include; exercise, yoga, line dancing, Tai Chi, computer, oil painting, blood pressure screenings, support groups and many others, and of course, lunch is served each day. Our Senior Centers are located at the Havertown Center for Older Adults and Hometown Center in Media.

MCSS - Adult Day Services (ADS), programs provide caregivers with high quality respite, educational resources, and a support community while providing adults who are functionally impaired opportunities for daily socialization among supportive staff within a safe and structured environment. Daily activities include a balance of physical exercise, recreational activities, nutritious meals and snacks, and personal grooming and care. MCSS ADS programs are located in Broomall, Bryn Mawr and Upper Darby.
