The mission of Trinity Hospice, is to provide quality hospice care to patients with life limiting illnesses and to their caregivers and families. The goal of hospice is to add quality of life when quantity is limited.

Description:
Trinity Hospice recognizes dying as a part of the normal process of living and focuses on maintaining the quality of remaining life. This is done by offering palliative care to all terminally ill patients and support to those patients and families without regard to diagnosis, gender, sexual orientation, national origin, race, creed, disability, age, place of residence, or ability to pay.Trinity Hospice focuses on physical, emotional, and spiritual care in the last six months of life. The emphasis is on comfort and control of symptoms but it is not to cure.Services are provided in personal homes, assisted living, skilled nursing, and inpatient centers. It is a multi-disciplinary approach and there are Bereavement services and support available for family and friends.
The primary role of the volunteer is to be a supportive, caring person. Volunteers are dedicated, loyal, and sensitive individuals who give of themselves to help ensure the mission of Hospice care and are considered an integral part of the Hospice team.

History:
Trinity Hospice is one of the largest providers of hospice services in the country. It was founded in 1998 in Tulsa Oklahoma. In 2005 the corporate offices moved to Dallas Texas and in September 2006 Trinity was purchased by Sunrise Senior Living.
