Source of H.E.L.P.’s mission is to provide youth with hope, empowerment, love, and peace while helping them develop into successful, well rounded individuals who understand the importance of giving back to their community and paying forward to help others they encounter along their life’s journey.

Description:
Source of H.E.L.P. provides a club atmosphere and multiple services for youth. Our goal is to help them develop the interpersonal and concrete skills necessary for success in order to enter young adulthood as productive members of the community. Our expertise is in serving urban youth - a vulnerable and often overlooked population who have few other options in life and who statistically fail as adults. What we teach them now, through our relationships, role modeling, and other interactions, will impact the rest of their lives and will influence how they interact with the larger society.

The program center around five pillars of success - Life Skills, Personal Growth, Community Service, Educational Awareness, and Wellness. These essential facets of the program are practiced through workshops, mentorship, service projects, rap sessions, social activities, team building activities, etc.

History:
Source of H.E.L.P. was founded in 2005 through a collaboration of young people in their late teens and twenties determined to make a difference one teenager at a time. What began as simple rap sessions where teens could vent and receive guidance, mentorship, and simple social activities to give teens something to do with their idle time has now transformed into a movement. This is a movement of pre-teens and teens who refuse to be or continue to be a statistic. These youth are determined to have a positive life despite their situations or circumstances, while serving their community, setting and reaching their goals.
