The Pennsylvania Family Coalition is a grassroots educational organization, working with people of all faiths and ethnic backgrounds to strengthen marriages and families through principled-centered educational programs, model public policies and community action programs to inspire a culture of service to others
Description:
Strengthen families and achieve a measurable reduction in divorce rate by helping couples develop the skills and knowledge to form and sustain healthy marriages. Promote a better quality of life for children through enhanced parenting, relationship skills training and positive role model initiatives. Support a positive family culture by providing program support to parents, faith and community organizations. Organize forums to address the cultural elements that undermine the nation’s families and uplift the fundamental principles that provide a foundation for a solid family structure. Link a statewide network of like-minded individuals and organizations that are committed to this task.
History:
PFC is serving the Pennsylvanian families for the past 9 years providing leadership programs such as the First Pennsylvania Healthy Marriage Summit (2004), The Pennsylvania Parents of the Year, Service Projects honoring Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and providing program support for organizations and faith based leaders.
