The Philadelphia Art Alliance is the oldest multidisciplinary art center in the nation, dedicated to the celebration of the visual, literary, and performing arts.
Description:
The Philadelphia Art Alliance is located in the historic Wetherill Mansion, right off Rittenhouse Square in downtown Philadelphia. Our three floors of gallery space host visual arts exhibits year round, and host literary, performance, and lecture events in the spring and fall.
History:
The oldest center of its kind in the nation, the Philadelphia Art Alliance was founded in 1915 by Christine Wetherill Stevenson.
