Eight of these are fully accessible to the public and provide a hands-on learning experience. Among the exhibits is the only V-22 tilt-rotor Osprey of public exhibition. The Museum offers an active schedule of exhibitions, educational programs, air shows, and other public events all designed to teach the principles of flight, celebrate the pioneers of aviation, and encourage and inspire future generations of engineers, scientists, innovators and inventors. We host 12 - 20 school groups a month plus another 30, 800 peole see our traveling hands-on helicopter which travels to air shows, schools and community events.

History:
The creation of the American Helicopter Museum grew out of a desire to "establish a lasting tribute to those men and women who pioneered the development of rotary-wing aircraft in the Delaware Valley, the birthplace of American helicopter industry. The Museum was chartered as a non-profit in October of 1993. Since the Museum's opening in 1996 over 100,000 visitors have passed through the museums doors. We now have 1300 members. Rotorfest, the Museum's two-day all helicopter air show attracts 7000 -10,000 visitors and is the premiere rotorcraft airshow in the nation.
