History:
The creation of the American Helicopter Museum grew out of a desire to "establish a lasting tribute to those men and women who pioneered the development of rotary-wing aircraft in the Delaware Valley, the birthplace of American helicopter industry. The Museum was chartered as a non-profit in October of 1993. Since the Museum's opening in 1996 over 100,000 visitors have passed through the museums doors. We now have 1300 members. Rotorfest, the Museum's two-day all helicopter air show attracts 7000 -10,000 visitors and is the premiere rotorcraft airshow in the nation.
