We are a pregnancy care medical center that exists to educate and empower individuals and their families to make life affirming choices.
Description:
We are a non-profit 501c3 organization that seeks to help families faced with unplanned pregnancies. We do this by offering medical services including ultrasound and non-medical including counseling and material assistance programs. We are a non-descriminating,non-sectarian, non-political, non-denomination, life affirming organization providing services free and confidential. We believe as we equip our clients with factual information concerning their pregnancy and all their options they will be educated and will make life affirming choices for themselves and thier child. By offering free limited ob ultrasound scans to client's who qualify, we are giving them a window to the womb and the chance to bond with their child. We also want to educate our clients about the need for abstinence and the ongoing epidemic of STD's.
History:
Chester County Women's Services received articles of incorporation in 1985 as a result of a small group of Community members recognizing a need for to provide a mercy ministry for girls and women facing crisis pregnancies. We were orignally located in Thorndale, PA and after a few years moved to the Coatesville area. In 2002 we purchased a building in Coatesville and since August of 2002 have been serving the Chester County area from this location. We became a medical center offering limited obstetric care and as of June 2003 are offering limited obstetric ultrasounds to clients who qualify. We have a desire to open another center in West Chester during the fall of 2005.
