The mission of The Coad Group is to promote healthy and safe communities by offering effective programs and services to address the use and abuse of alcohol and other drugs, focus on mental health concerns and provide educational opportunities designed to support responsible choices and behaviors.

Description:
The Coad Group houses the following departments/programs: Alcohol Safe Driving Program; Community Prevention Services; Mental Health Services including the Consumer/Family Satisfaction Team (C/FST) and MH/MR Consultation and Education; Chester County Highway Safety Project; Educational Services; and the Student Assistance Program(SAP).

History:
The Coad Group began in 1963 as a group of persons in recovery who recognized the need in Chester County for an agency providing substance abuse information and referral services. Currently, The Coad Group continues to meet this need as well as related needs in the areas of substance abuse
