The Mission of COSA is to plan, develop, coordinate, and administer a comprehensive service system for older adults.
Description:
COSA services are provided either directly or through contractual agreements with other community agencies and organizations. The services COSA provides directly are Information and Referral, Senior Employment, Foster Grandparent Program, Protective Services, PA Dept. of Aging (PDA) Waiver, and Assessment. Other services are contacted with twenty-six community agencies or organizations.
History:
The Delaware County Office of Services for the Aging (COSA) was established in January 1975 both as a department of County government and as the state designated Area Agency on Aging (AAA) for the residents of Delaware County.
