Melmark, Inc.,located in Berwyn, is a gentle, loving community that provides residential, educational, therapeutic and recreational services for children and adults with developmental disabilities.
History:
For over 36 years, Melmark has provided children and adults with educational, residential and recreational services on an 80-acre campus as well as in community homes.Our unique settings and varied services provide volunteers an opportunity to choose from several different venues in which to share of the time and talent.

Interstate 95:
coming from Center City or Philadelphia Airport
From I 95 South: take I 95 South to Route 476 North (Blue Route). Exit = Blue Route at Exit #4 (Newtown Square) to Route 3 West. Proceed on 3 = West to Route 252 North (approximately 4 miles). When road becomes a two = lane highway, the first road on left is White Horse Road. Turn left on = White Horse Road and proceed one mile to stop sign. Name changes to = Wayland Road. Continue on Wayland to Melmark, on the left.
PA Turnpike
Exit 24 - Valley Forge First exit outside toll booth - 202 South West Chester. Follow 202 South approx. 2 miles exiting on 252 Paoli Exit. Follow 252 South 3 miles crossing over route 30. Stay on 252 South approx. 3 1/2 miles. White Horse road on right follow until stop sign. Go straight across onto Wayland Road. Follow till dead end. Last driveway on left visitors parking.
Route I North
Take Media Bypass to 252 North. Stay on 252 North crossing over Route 3.After that 3 1/2 miles on 252 North make a left on White Horse Road. Stay on White Horse Road till stop sign. Go straight across onto Wayland Road. Follow to dead end. Last driveway on left visitors parking.
Blue Route/476
From 476 exit on Route 3 West to 252. Make a right on 252. Stay on 252 North for 3 1/2 miles. Make a left on White Horse Road. Stay on White Horse Road till stop sign. go straight across onto Wayland Road. Follow to dead end. Last driveway on left - visitors parking.
From any other location:
a. Get on Route 3 West (if coming from Philadelphia) and follow directions from Blue Route/476.
b. Get on Route 3 East (if coming from West Chester) and follow directions Interstate 95 starting with Route 3 of course!
