OUR AGENCY MEETS GREATER PHILADELPHIA MENTORING PARTNERSHIP STANDARD FOR QUALITY MENTORING.
To provide quality volunteer services and professional staff for children and Youth in Montgomery County and to assist them through one-to-one mentoring, allowing them to achieve their highest potential as they grew to be men and women.

Description:
Our approach is to bring caring adults into the lives of children and teens. By building and supporting mentoring relationships, young people at-risk of alienation find acceptance, encouragement, and are exposed to diversity and open communication.
Adult volunteers (Bigs) are matched with children/youth (Littles) from the community. The agency provides ongoing professional case management for the match the entire time they are together. We provide free activities and ideas for Bigs and Littles to do together as well as volunteer training for our Big Brothers and Big Sisters.

History:
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Montgomery County was founded and organized by the Lansdale Jaycees in 1968 and has provided services to at-risk children ever since. We have grown significantly and now have a main office in Norristown, with satellite offices in Lansdale, Pottstown and Abington.
