Pocopson Home, Chester County's long-term health care facility located near West Chester, PA, is operated by the County of Chester, under the supervision of the Chester County Commissioners.
Description:
The facility is home to 275 residents who require daily health care, along with personal care.
History:
Pocopson Home has been serving the community since 1951, providing quality care to Chester County. On June 7, 1946, land was purchased by Chester County in Pocopson Township, and the present Pocopson Home became a reality when the buildings were officially opened on April 20, 1951. During 1971, the five-story Russell B. Jones building was completed and opened for occupancy.
