In addition, Housing Group offers a First-Time Homebuyers Program and a Homeowners' Emergency Mortgage Assistance Program.

Bucks County Housing Group was founded in 1979 in response to the increase in the number of homeless families in Bucks County.
Over the past twenty seven years, the Housing Group has worked cooperatively with both the public and private sectors to develop and expand essential services.
Housing Group opened the first emergency shelter program in the county in 1980.
In 1984, Housing Group was awarded a bridge housing contract to launch a cooperative venture with the county's Children and Youth agency. The Bridge and Transitional programs, by design, provide families with the necessary time, support and achievable plan necessary to attain their goal of independence.
In 1999 Housing Group assumed management of EQPP shelter program in Quakertown, expanding its operation throughout Upper, Central and Lower Bucks County.
To better serve its entire client base, the agency's administrative offices relocated after 15 years from Langhorne to Wrightstown in September, 2000.
