Overall Experience
This is a wonderful place to volunteer!
 |
Our entire family has volunteered at The Salvation Army for the past 7 years. They are wonderful, caring people who really appreciate their volunteer help.
This is one of the only places we found to volunteer when our kids were younger (7 and 5 years old at that time - now 14 and 12!) as most places wanted adult volunteers but very few places encouraged the children to volunteer as well. The Salvation Army openly encourages all ages of volunteers. We were very fortunate to find such a wonderful agency to work with! From packing food baskets and setting up toys to ringing the kettle around the holidays, our family has enjoyed it all. posted by pimarus on November 17, 2004 |
