The Darby Library was developed for the purpose of establishing a Reading Room in the Borough of Darby, and to promote the moral and intellectual growth of the residents.

Description:
Darby Library provides public library service to the residents of Darby Borough and the state of PA through the Access PA Program. In addition to lending materials the library provides home work help, story times, craft classes, entertaining programs, outreach to schools, day care centers and community groups, and a full summer program of reading for all ages.

History:
The Darby Library has provided service since 1743 and at the same location since 1866.
