Camden County Nutrition Program has 9 nutrition sites throughout Camden County. A nutritionally sound meal is provided weekdays to any person 60 and over and their spouse near noon-time. We also have one weekend site. Other services provided include health screening, information and referral, nutrition education and recreational activities. Suggested donation is $1.50. Limited transportation is provided by another agency. The Meals on Wheels program is designed to deliver nutritious meals to the homes of persons whose physical, mental, or social conditions require a home delivered meal service. These persons will be individuals who are homebound, chronically ill, convalescent or handicapped and who are unable to prepare their own meals or who have no one living with them who can cook. Those eligible will be 60 years of age or older, also eligible if under age 60, permanently disabled and receiving SSI. The suggested contribution for the meal is $2.00 per meal.
