The Agency has the official regulatory responsibility for ensuring the safety and well-being of children in Bucks County.
Description:
The Children and Youth Agency is responsible for receiving and investigating reports of child abuse and neglect, providing for the temporary care of children not able to remain with their own families and developing wide social service programs that promote family stability. The Agency endeavors to be responsive to the changing health and welfare needs of all families by encouraging the development of programs that reduce dependency and strengthen family life. Services are provided to all families throughout Bucks County.
History:
The Agency's Volunteer program was first established in 1981 for the purpose of providing needy families with Mentors, Parent Educators and Tutors for young children, their parents or adolescents on the verge of adulthood.
