Relying on its core of volunteers, Manna on Main Street seeks to end hunger in the North Penn area, by providing food, fulfilling social service needs, and conducting community education, through a soup kitchen and food cupboard, emergency financial aid and counseling and referral, and community outreach.
Description:
Manna on Main Street is a soup kitchen and food cupboard which serves the North Penn Community. Manna also coordinates funding for emergency housing, rent, utilities, medical needs, and a variety of other programs.
History:
Manna On Main Street is a non-profit organization founded in 1981 by local churches and synagogues to respond to the increasing human needs in the North Penn Community. Manna's services have grown to include various programs for the elderly, children and the community at large.
