The Alzheimer's Association, Delaware Valley Chapter serves Delaware, South Jersey and South Eastern Pennsylvania. We are an alliance of family members and professionals. We help people with Alzheimer's disease and their families through education, advocacy, and support. Our goal is to provide leadership and to enhance care and support services. At the same time, we are working to eliminate Alzheimer's disease through research.
Description:
We have a 24 hour, 7 days a week telephone Helpline (800-272-3900). Family members can attend one of more than 180 support groups. We give education programs for families and professionals. We have an outreach program to reach multicultural communities. Also, we have the Safe Return program for people who may get lost. We publish a quarterly newsletter. We maintain contact with state and federal legislators to advance improvement in facilities and family support laws.
