First and foremost our mission is to ensure palliative and compassionate care to the terminally ill patient, so as to enhance natural death with dignity. The physical, spiritual, psychological, and social needs of patients and their families are addressed with special emphasis on family bereavement and support.
Description:
We provide specialized care for people with life limiting prognosis. Hospice care is a medically directed interdisciplinary team managed program of service that focuses on the patient and family as the unit of service. Hospice care is palliative, rather that curative, with an emphasis on pain management and symptom control, so that a person may live the last days of life fully, with dignity and comfort, at or in a home-like setting. Hospice is a steadily growing concept of humane and compassionate care which can be implemented in a variety of settings, such as patients homes, hospitals, or long term care facilities.
History:
Our Hospice is owned and operated by Beverly Home Care, a division of Beverly Enterprises,Inc. the leading provider of post-acute healthcare in the United States. Since its founding in 1963, the company has grown from a small group of California nursing homes into nursing and rehabilitation facilities, assisted living centers, hospice, home health, pharmacy and home medical companies.
