Our Mission is to build a no-kill shelter where we can professionally train homeless horses and dogs so as to return them to useful lives. We will also educate the public about animal protection, legislation, and open space preservation.
Description:
We are working to establish a training center where homeless horses and dogs can work with professional animal trainers. They can then be adopted as well-trained pets, sporting competitors, or Community Servants (Therapy Dogs, Search & Rescue, Handicapped Riding, etc.)
History:
We were created in 2003, and received our 501(c)(3) non-profit status in 2004. We have been working on improving animal cruelty legislation and supporting more Humane Police Officers. We also provided a Therapy Dog to the Community, and visited schools, libraries, and Pet Fairs with educational messages. Our next step is to expand our Board. We are also creating a Grant Writing & Fund Raising Team. They will support the financial effort needed to create a professional animal training center.
