The mission of the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia's Mitzvah Food Pantry is to provide food and basic staples in a caring and dignified manner to those in our community who are in need.
Description:
The client base ranges from infants to the elderly. The Pantry serves anyone in need, regardless of race, religion, age, gender, or household income.
History:
The Mitzvah Food Pantry, coordinated by the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia, was formally launched in the spring of 1995. With the help of our volunteers, we serve the needs of 2300 people a month, including 716 children, every month.
