Founded in 1989 by the Wharton Small Business Development Center, The Enterprise Center strives to be the world's premier accelerator of minority entrepreneurship. We believe the entrepreneurial spirit is the keystone of successful communities. To this end, we offer a portfolio of initiatives centered on entrepreneurial development and business formation. We operate the US Department of Commerce's Pennsylvania Minority Business Development Center, The Enterprise Center Capital Corporation, The Enterprise Center CDC, two training courses, an award-winning youth entrepreneurship program, a global replication department, and a Magic Johnson / HP Digital Inventor Center, and our facility hosts 50 to 60 major business events per year. We are located in the original home of American Bandstand, and were named "Incubator of the Year" by the National Business Incubation Association in 1999.
