In partnership with The United Way of Southeastern Pennsylvania and Black Men at Penn School of Social Work, Inc., we are currently recruiting 100 African-American male mentors. The Black male is absent in many homes, in schools, and in communities. Children, especially young Black males, need guidance amidst the violence spree that has overtaken the City of Philadelphia; many victims and perpetrators are between the ages of 16-22 years. With the death toll in Philadelphia steadily rising, averaging more than 1 murder per day, children need guidance now more than ever. Help us in recruiting Black males to mentor by referring your brothers, uncles, fathers, sons, grandfathers, friends, church members, lodge brother, etc. THE CHILDREN NEED WHAT YOU KNOW!

We ask that our volunteers be of good moral character verified by three references and be willing to submit to a child abuse clearance and criminal background check. The ability to read and write is preferred but not a firm requirement.
