Volunteers contribute at least 12 hours of service per year and participate in at least 8 hours of in-service training on domestic violence and related issues. Volunteers providing direct counseling services to victims of domestic violence also complete a 45 hour intensive domestic violence training which includes active listening skills, cultural sensitivity, conflict resolution, and role playing.
