Becoming a Community Accountants Volunteer will be a significant contribution to your community. Your skills are critical to the success of a nonprofit organization. CA's volunteer accountant's work only consists 20 hrs. or 6 months for each client, teaching the skills of fiscal management to nonprofit organization staff is the foundation for a nonprofit organization's staff to provide their services effectively, giving the staff the organization to pursue their organizations mission. You will enhance your professional development by working with different organizations and their constituencies as well as presenting fiscal management workshops for CA if interested for CA as an accountant volunteer for PA State Senators and SE PA Foundations. This work will exercise your leadership, organizational, managerial and planning skills. CA presents fiscal management workshops in the nonprofit community raising the awareness of the importance of fiscal management, often after volunteering for CA clients the organization hires CA accountant volunteers to perform audits, financial reviews or compilations as well as their 990's.
Accountants & CPA's familiar with nonprofit bookkeeping and fiscal management. CA Volunteers do not perform audits, reviews, financial statements or compilations! CA accountant volunteers focus on teaching the skills to CA's Direct Service clients, rather than CA volunteers doing the work for our clients. CA Accountant volunteers choose what kind of organization they would like to volunteer for i.e. arts & culture, education, health & wellness, religion, community involvement and more. CA's work is a great way to pursue and raise the awareness and importance of the accountants fiscal management work in the nonprofit community.
